I thought the USDA certified organic label was more strict than this. Do you think Whole Foods will give an official response? Another reason I'm glad my local farmer's market doesn't allow any middlemen!
Yeah, totally another reason to buy locally... and to support your local economy!!!
Emily, a friend of mine who is living in China right now with the Peace Corps, said that to her the fresh food is completely unedible because they use so many chemicals. They spray constantly- it's disgusting.
